Principal Park, formerly named SEC Taylor Stadium, has a steel roof structure with large cantilevered roofs and balconies to maximize spectator shelter with an unobstructed view of the field. Precast prestressed concrete seating was designed for rapid erection and winter construction. Auger-cast piling foundations achieved solid support in poor quality soils along the Des Moines River.
